I'm Sieg, a software engineer based in Metro Cebu, Philippines. I build for the web, mostly with TypeScript and React, and I like making complicated things feel simple, in code and on the page.
Why I write
I learn by writing. The test I use is simple: if I can explain something in plain English, in words a normal person would use, then I actually understand it. If I can't, I've just found the gap.
That's what this site is, a second brain. Public notes on things I'm working out, written in my own words. It's the Feynman technique, really: take something I half-understand, rebuild it from scratch, and explain it clearly. The writing is the learning. You just get to read the result.
